Blade Runner 2019 is the first comic to tell new stories set in the Blade Runner universe!
In the neo-noir Los Angeles, 2019, veteran Blade Runner Detective Ash pursues a kidnapped child and a Replicant conspiracy... A new story from Michael Green, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter for BLADE RUNNER 2049, co-written by Mike Johnson (Supergirl, Star Trek) and illustrated by Andres Guinaldo (Captain America, Justice League Dark).
There's a new flying machine in town, and they're calling it the speeder. The company Jetpack Aviation that brought you this jetpack, is now making what almost looks like a jet ski that fly's. It looks amazing unless you run out of gas or get sucked into the jet. Here is their info, and now they are taking pre-orders. Check out the video animation at the bottom.
The world’s first flying motorcycle.
JPA's Recreational SpeederTM represents the ultimate in personal transport. It is fully VTOL (vertical take off and landing) capable and can effectively take off from anywhere the size of a small car space. Originally intended only for Military, Government and Commercial clients JPA is also designing a version of the SpeederTM for the recreational market. It will be lighter than most 125cc motorcycles, fully stabilized and simple to fly.
Flying the Recreational SpeederTM will be just light riding a motorcycle but in the sky!
Being fully stabilized means that minimal pilot training will be required.
It will take off from practically anywhere and will fly at over 150 mph*
It will also fly at up to 15,000ft but we don’t expect many of our customers to need this!
We plan to build two versions of the Recreational SpeederTM: The Ultralight Version and the Experimental Category Version.
The Ultralight Version (UVS) will not require a pilot’s license to operate – all training will be provided by JPA or one of our authorized training centers. The Ultralight version will be limited to carrying 5 gallons of fuel and to 60 mph flying speed.
The Experimental Version (EVS) will require a private pilot’s licence to fly and will have no fuel or speed restrictions. As the owner/pilot of the EVS we will host you in our manufacturing facility and you will be part of the aircraft completion process. This will satisfy the FAA rules around Experimental aircraft production.
Full training will be provided at the JPA training facility in California where we remain the only FAA authorized jet-VTOL instructors in world.
Flying taxi's seem to be the motivation for us to take to the air and Uber might just do it with this new Bell NEXUS aircraft. There are so many vehicle concepts already for this type of service, and Bell has just dropped another one at CES in Las Vegas. The newly unveiled Nexus is a look at future transportation that we have been following for some time. This aircraft is an all electric, tilting six-rotor design to take off vertically and propel itself through the air carrying up to 4 passengers. Bell has it's sights on having this Air Taxi in flight over several major cities sometime in 2020. Check out the video below to see the model at CES.
It looks like things are moving along in the flying taxi business. Check out the video below. Vertical Aerospace is building technology to revolutionize how people fly, with the ultimate aim of making intercity air travel personal, on-demand and carbon free. The Bristol-based startup has built and flown the UK's first full scale fully electric vertical take off and landing aircraft. Its unmanned technology demonstrator aircraft weighs 750kg and flew across Cotswold Airport in Kemble, Gloucestershire in June 2018 as part of the company’s flight test program.
If you haven't been following Cyberpunk 2077, now is the time to get caught up. Up to this point we have had a lot of teasers and trailers and artwork surfacing to show us the incredible scope of this futuristic cyberpunk game. This is the first time we actually get to see game play. The depth and detail of this game is up there.

Enhance 224 to 176. Enhance, stop. Move in, stop. Pull out, track right, stop. If you are a serious Blade Runner fan this should be fun for you. A brilliant programmer, artist created a cool browser based game Enhance.Computer. The game is audio controlled similarly to the Blade Runner Esper Machine in the video below. This game can only be played on a Chrome Browser but it is so cool.
Above is a screen shot of the game. Nicole He, a programmer and artist based in Brooklyn, New York, designed the game which focuses on voice technology challenging the way we use it. She's created some pretty trippy stuff like the True Love TinderRobot. Anyway, check out her site to see more. Nicole.Pizza
The Esper Machine Scene from Blade Runner. In case you haven't seen it :(
You may have already seen it, but it is worth a look to remind you of what is coming. J Concept is Kawasaki's new 3 wheel hybrid electric motorcycle which has been in the works for about 5 years, supposedly it is launching in 2018.
It was first unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, and has been teased in several videos leading up to this year. Check out the Kawasaki Evolution video below to see more details.
You can obviously use your imagination to think about where this technology can lead. The applications are almost endless. But here is Rolls-Royce official statement below.
Rolls-Royce today demonstrated an exciting vision of how robotics could be used to revolutionise the future of engine maintenance. Bringing another element of its IntelligentEngine vision to life, Rolls-Royce teamed up with academics from the University of Nottingham and Harvard University to discuss and demonstrate a wide range of potential future technologies at the Farnborough Airshow, from ‘snake’ robots that work their way through the engine like an endoscope, to miniature, collaborative ‘swarm’ robots that crawl through the insides of an engine.
The IntelligentEngine vision, first introduced by Rolls-Royce at the Singapore Airshow earlier this year, describes a world where product and service have become so closely connected that they are inseparable. This vision drives activity across a range of fields, including robotics, with a particular focus on digital technologies.
The UK government’s Home Office released a report this week announcing plans for a forthcoming centralized biometric database of its citizens, compiling DNA, fingerprint, face, and possibly even voice data for law enforcement to access and share, according to the Telegraph. In addition to helping local police solve crimes, the Home Office report also proposes using the centralized database for vetting migrants at borders and verifying Visa applications.
China is no stranger to keeping tabs on their citizens, but this is going into new territory. Minority Report is alive and well. It looks like China will soon implement a biometric facial recognition surveillance system.
China Daily reports that two forms of biometric recognition to be installed; palm touch and facial recognition. Together, they could offer a solution to ease congestion issues and help reduce fare evasion.
Beijing's subway system is one of the worlds
most congested, and it is strained at almost 10 million daily commuters. Once
the biometric system is installed, cameras with online network connections
would be able to identify individuals entering the city's subway stations, and
palm scanning devices would allow riders to use their hands instead of paper
tickets.
Chinese citizens aren't new to facial recognition tech. The law permits police to scan civilians' faces and identify any vehicle registration plates from outside the capital city supposedly in an effort to stop crime. If you've ever seen Psycho Pass, you know what I'm talking about.
However, China is known for monitoring its citizens through a range of technology and the Internet. Welcome to 2018, where the future watches you...
Straight up FIRE! That's what this trailer is. As a writer and artist, when I think of Cyberpunk this is it. They nailed it. Check out the stills below, and the world premiere trailer at the bottom.
Every little detail in this trailer is fine tuned and well crafted.
There is some tech that looks similar to many others and some cool new stuff too.
Yes, we have flying cars! Finally.
There's always room for a cyber cowboy or two
These dudes, WTF!
Lets not forget the bad ass ride.
I had to watch this about 10 times already. Night City, California. Year 2077. The world is broken. MegaCorps manage every aspect of life from the top floors of their sky-scraping fortresses. Down below, the streets are run by drug pushing gangs, tech hustlers, and illegal braindance slingers. The in-between is where decadence, sex and pop culture mix with violent crime, extreme poverty and the unattainable promise of the American Dream. You are V, a cyberpunk. In a world of cyberenhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers, today is your first step to becoming an urban legend.
State of Mind is a futuristic cyberpunk thriller game delving into transhumanism. The game explores themes of separation, disjuncture and reunification, in a world that is torn between a dystopian material reality and a utopian virtual future. It looks like a pretty cool sci-fi game from the teasers at the bottom of the page. It obviously takes some inspiration from Blade Runner, Altered Carbon and a slew of other Cyberpunk Games. Check it out below!
When mind and machine become one – what will remain of humanity?
Berlin, 2048 – The world is on the brink. Lack of resources, illnesses caused by polluted air and water, crime on the rise, war. Governments and companies promise remedies through technological progress. Drones and humanoid robots replace humans in the public sector, everything is interconnected, surveillance has become omnipresent.
Richard Nolan is one of the few journalists openly criticizing this development. When he wakes up in hospital after an explosion and finds that his wife and son have mysteriously vanished, Richard realizes: he and his family have become more than just bystanders in a storm of rivaling ideas pertaining humankind’s salvation between dystopian reality and digital utopia. Instead, they find themselves right at the center of it.
This domestic drama evolves into a thriller about a worldwide conspiracy, which at its core aims to determine the fate of humanity: Could a perfect digital utopia be the answer? A virtual paradise not affected by material needs and quarrels? Could a super-AI be our savior – or would it simply declare us as dispensable since it could not be taught the value of philanthropy?
What will the world look like after this storm, what will remain of humanity?
The game is available for pre-order here from Daedalic Entertainment.
Well, not quite. It's an interesting idea, until it loses power or a gust of wind takes it out, then, just like that you'll lose an ear. Check out the video below.

As I’m pretty sure you may know, I am a big fan of Blade Runner. After all, my desktop background – as seen in pretty much all PC Performance Analysis articles – is a Blade Runner recreation in CRYENGINE. However, it appears the time to replace has come as Quixel’s 3D Artist and Art Lead, Wiktor Ohman, has recreated a scene from this iconic film in Unreal Engine 4.
As Wiktor said, he used loads of Megascan’s urban materials and assets in order to create this scene and the end result is amazing and it’s really close to the original material. Actually, this makes me wish for a new Blade Runner game that will look similar to this or the Samaritan tech demo. But I guess I’ll have to wait until Cyberpunk 2077 comes out.
Set in the near-future, technology controls nearly all aspects of life. But when Grey, a self-identified technophobe, has his world turned upside down, his only hope for revenge is an experimental computer chip implant called Stem.
“UPGRADE is a thrilling and hyper violent vision of the future from the producers of GET OUT and THE PURGE, and the creator of SAW and INSIDIOUS.
After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall Green, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, PROMETHEUS) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will “upgrade” his body. The cure – an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM – gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead.”
