We're starting to get some cool photos of the Blade Runner Experience at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con. Here is the article from cnet. Check it out! The props look amazing.
I made many of these little animation clips with the hope that some how they would all fit together for the teaser trailer for the book. Some of them made it in, but some didn't. I will continue to post these little snippets to show my process.
Here are many Blade Runner posters created by a multitude of artists. I don't have a line on all of the artists names, but if you do, send them my way and I will update this post.
This one's from Kilian Eng.
I absolutely appreciate the depth that these artists went to create the mood and environment of Blade Runner. Clearly I am not the only fan. Looking forward to Blade Runner 2049.
I am working on some new composite images for my next volume of Prisoner of the Mind. A little dirty, a little grungy, but all P.O.M. world. I'll post new sketches and artwork over the next few weeks.
This is the original pencil drawing before inking and background composite for the full image.
We've been looking forward to this for a long time, 35 years to be exact. I saw the original in a movie theater in 1982. The colors, the music, the flying cars, ATARI! Say what... Super cool.
As I said in my previous post, I spent a lot of time working on small animations from my 2d drawings directly from the book. I was hoping that if I had enough of them, I could string them together to create a small storyline in the book teaser/trailer. Anyway, some of these worked out really well and some didn't. That is the beauty of making art, you never truly know what its going to be until its done. I'll post a few more of these in the future.
