Vintage Blade Runner posters real and imagined
Posted by A | Wednesday, May 31, 2017 | Allan Lnder, Blade Runner 2049, Blade Runner Posters, Graphic Novel, Neo-Noir, Prisoner of the Mind, Vintage Blade Runner
Here are many Blade Runner posters created by a multitude of artists. I don't have a line on all of the artists names, but if you do, send them my way and I will update this post.
This one's from Kilian Eng.
I absolutely appreciate the depth that these artists went to create the mood and environment of Blade Runner. Clearly I am not the only fan. Looking forward to Blade Runner 2049.

Bright lights, big city!
I am working on some new composite images for my next volume of Prisoner of the Mind. A little dirty, a little grungy, but all P.O.M. world. I'll post new sketches and artwork over the next few weeks.
This is the original pencil drawing before inking and background composite for the full image.

Prisoner of the Mind animation experiment

As I said in my previous post, I spent a lot of time working on small animations from my 2d drawings directly from the book. I was hoping that if I had enough of them, I could string them together to create a small storyline in the book teaser/trailer. Anyway, some of these worked out really well and some didn't. That is the beauty of making art, you never truly know what its going to be until its done. I'll post a few more of these in the future.

Animated Trailer Test 1
While working on creating an animated trailer for Prisoner of the Mind, I went through a series of animation tests which I will be posting here. Some of them worked and some didn't. Fortunately my good friend Ed Hanna over at Black Fly Productions edited all of my animations together and made the whole thing shine. But it is fun to revisit all of the different things I went through to get it done. I hope you enjoy.
As a side note, I have been working on another tutorial for my little publishing series on how to make your own graphic novel which I will be posting soon.
