Here is a little animation that I did for the book teaser. During the process of animating many pages of my graphic novel, I tried many different approaches to making things move. Essentially, there were a series of little short animated segments that were edited together to create a story. This short little piece was part of the process of figuring out how to make lightning look like lightning.

Animated Trailer Test 1

While working on creating an animated trailer for Prisoner of the Mind, I went through a series of animation tests which I will be posting here. Some of them worked and some didn't. Fortunately my good friend Ed Hanna over at Black Fly Productions edited all of my animations together and made the whole thing shine. But it is fun to revisit all of the different things I went through to get it done. I hope you enjoy.

As a side note, I have been working on another tutorial for my little publishing series on how to make your own graphic novel which I will be posting soon.
